Ultrafiltration Systems

Newterra offers high-performance Ultrafiltration (UF) Systems that provide product recovery or separation treatment of process water and wastewater. UF is a low-pressure filtration process where components of a liquid are separated through pores of a semipermeable membrane based on the difference in their molecular sizes.

Newterra ultrafiltration system mounted on a metal wall with a series of grey tubes covered in white plastic tubing, upper left corner contains a black shadow from where the camera lens was covered during the shooting of the image.

Product Overview

The Newterra UF systems effectively separate contaminants from liquid, such as suspended solids – to below 10 ppm, oil and grease – to below 50 ppm, and metals: manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), and iron (Fe) up to 99% rejection under the potential of hydrogen (pH) control, typically below 1 ppm. Ultrafiltration can be used as pretreatment for our SeaMega Seawater Desalination Systems and is used in our Potable Water Systems. TODO Links
