Ion Exchange Vessels

Ion Exchange Vessels for the removal of inorganic dissolved solids.  The ion exchange process is an exchange of one ion for another, using a synthetic resin to perform the transfer of ions. These technologies are widely used for the removal of inorganic dissolved solid impurities from the feed water to steam-generating boilers or other process equipment to prevent scaling and oxidation damage.

Product Overview

Newterra’s Ion Exchange Vessels are designed for high-efficiency treatment of water and wastewater in industrial applications. These vessels utilize ion exchange resins to selectively remove contaminants such as heavy metals, hardness ions, and other dissolved solids, resulting in high-purity water suitable for various industrial processes. Engineered for durability and performance, Newterra’s ion exchange vessels feature robust construction and are capable of handling large volumes of water, ensuring consistent operation and compliance with stringent water quality. Ideal for sectors like chemical manufacturing, power generation, and pharmaceuticals, these vessels offer customizable options to suit specific treatment requirements, providing a flexible and effective solution for complex water treatment challenges.

Benefits

  • Provides extremely low total dissolved solids
  • Effluent service water is near neutral pH (Mixed Bed)
  • Can be automatically regenerated based on time, flow, conductivity, or manually
  • Inlet/outlet pressure gauges and transmitters if required
  • Efficient internal designs provide a low-pressure drop across tank when clean
  • Minimum energy and maintenance requirements
  • Stand-alone tanks or modular skid-mounted (pre-piped & pre-wired) options

Technical Specifications

  • Remove all cations and anions or to a very low level
  • Total dissolved solids are considered contaminates and cause scaling and under-scale corrosion in industrial processes
  • Total dissolved solids will scale and foul boiler tubes inhibiting heat transfer
