Air Injection Manifolds

air injection manifolds are used to divide an air stream into any number of smaller air streams for distribution to air sparge injection wells or pneumatically-driven submersible pumps. a manifold consists of a main pipe for the incoming air supply, and branch legs for distribution. since they usually control the process downstream, the branch legs can come equipped with a variety of equipment including:

  • valves for shutoff and flow control
  • gauges for temperature and pressure
  • sampling ports
  • flow meters

different materials of construction are available for manifolds depending on the required pressure and temperature. other considerations when designing a manifold are air flow rate, and the number of required branch legs.
